SHRINGAR – PARUL GARG MAKEUP STUDIO
An Immersive Celebration of Indian Bridal Heritage
Designed by Studio A, the Parul Garg Makeup Studio is envisioned as an experiential space that celebrates Indian bridal traditions through a contemporary lens. Inspired by Shringar—the ritual of adornment—the studio transforms the bridal journey into a spatial experience rooted in culture, emotion, and heritage.
Drawing from the opulence of Rajasthani palaces, the design incorporates scalloped arches, hand-painted murals, patterned marble flooring, and vibrant hues to create an atmosphere that feels both regal and intimate. Conceived as “a palace for the bride,” the space evokes a sense of ceremony, making every moment of preparation feel special.
The spatial narrative unfolds through grand entrances, arched corridors, and a central lounge anchored by a marble fountain and jewel-toned seating. Repetitive arches and striking black-and-white flooring guide movement, while murals depicting royal courts add storytelling and cultural richness.
The design language blends traditional Indian elements—such as jharokha-inspired openings and decorative panels—with clean, contemporary planning. A rich palette of pinks, blues, greens, and warm neutrals is balanced with dark wood and stone, while crystal chandeliers and bespoke furniture enhance the sense of luxury.
Craftsmanship plays a key role, with details like carved woodwork, mirror inlay, and murals bringing authenticity and depth. At the same time, the layout remains highly functional, with well-planned makeup rooms, consultation areas, and lounges ensuring comfort, privacy, and efficiency.
Reflecting Studio A’s philosophy, the project goes beyond a conventional commercial space to create an immersive environment where tradition, design, and storytelling come together to elevate the bridal experience.
